Sherry Belle Trail
Sherry Belle Trail – for Hiking or Biking
By Dixie Brunner
There’s a wonderful hiking trail just south of Kanab! The new asphalt Sherry Belle Trail is a beautiful, scenic place to recreate. You can run, jog or walk, and strollers and pets are welcome...and bicycles! The trail winds around the Jackson Flat Reservoir. The Sherry Belle Trail is approximately five kilometers long and is named in honor of the late Sherry Noel, who was a great advocate for trails and regularly promoted community health and wellness. Trails and other infrastructure development are major parts of the long term recreational plan for the reservoir. A building with restrooms and picnic tables was added last year. The vision for the Kanab City Trail System is to have a linking trails system connecting Jackson Flat Reservoir to Kanab City and Jacob Hamblin Park. It is the intent for Kanab to become known for its quality trails system, linking downtown Kanab to recreational facilities and parks in the community.
