Kanab has so many reasons to Stay Parked Here.
While February and March can be cold, it is typically comfortable and beautiful in Kanab, and travelers have realized it’s a great time to come and explore our area. It’s less crowded, and you can get a quick seat at local restaurants! The trails are less crowded and there are no bugs or snakes interfering with your adventures.
Kanab Balloons & Tunes Roundup made its debut in 2015, with 20 hot air balloons and a dozen bands. Each year the event has grown.
Although bad weather (rain and wind) occasionally ground the balloons, the annual Balloons & Tunes is always a big hit, and makes for a perfect weekend event. Great music, food and fun folks charm everyone.
Hot air balloons take off each morning from the former Coral Cliffs Golf Course (weather permitting), and then the activities continue on North Main Street at the Street Fair as the Battle of the Bands takes place. Bands battle for cash prizes!
Hot air balloons line the street on Saturday evening for the Balloon Glow. The balloons inflate and are tethered to the ground, lighting up against the night sky for spectators to walk among and enjoy the balloons up close and personal.
The next Balloons and Tunes Roundup will be held February 21-23, 2020.

From April 9-11, 2019, the inaugural Kanab Film Festival will take place. The festival will incorporate the Little Hollywood Shootout, where filmmakers young and old can create their own five minute movie, but it must be shot in Kane County. The film festival part will focus on student movies and films made in Utah. Next year the dates are April 8-10, 2020.
From August 5-7, Kanab is hosting for the first time, the Canyons Folk Festival. This event welcomes international dancers and musicians to Kanab for exciting performances and cultural activities.
Red Rocktoberfest is another newer event held in Kanab, this year taking place on October 18 and 19. The event features a Canyon to Canyon Art Walk with giveaways and discounts from merchants, featuring art, music, food and more.
Kanab is also hosting a Summer Concert Series that will take place at Jacob Hamblin Park on the north end of town on the second Saturday at 8 p.m. The dates are June 8, July 13 and August 10.
Running from May through October, there is the Kanab Outdoor Market, held at Jacob Hamblin Park every Saturday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. The market will feature local and regional art, crafts, fruits and vegetables.
Also new this year, the Kanab City Library will feature an Art Show, with new artists showcasing their works, changing every quarter.
Visit the Kanab Arts Board Facebook page or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for more info on any of these artistic events.
